About Kappo Kappo
Карро Kappo, Austin's newest MICHELIN star restaurant at Austin Proper Hotel, offers an intimate French-Japanese chef's tasting menu experience where A5 wagyu beef and pristine seafood are served at a chef's counter guided by seasonality and craft. Born in Paris to Japanese parents, twin chefs Gohei and Haru Kishi have trained in esteemed kitchens around the world. Kappo Kappo is a natural extension of their upbringing, blending traditions and experiences into one ever-changing tasting menu. The space, designed by Kelly Wearstler, echoes the spirit of the cuisine. It is warm but refined, grounded yet elevated. Every detail invites connection, from the rhythm of the courses to the open-kitchen energy that brings guests into the fold. We’re able to accommodate the following dietary restrictions and allergies: gluten-free, dairy-free, pescatarian, and shellfish allergies.
