About Californios

We invite you to dine with us at Californios and experience a contemporary expression of Mexican cuisine using the bountiful ingredients of the Bay Area. Californios is a family owned and operated California Mexican restaurant. We opened our doors in the Mission District in 2015 and moved to our current location in 2020. With tall ceilings and a warm interior, our space allows for absolute comfort. Val M. Cantú, chef and owner, and his team execute a deft and choreographed nightly tasting menu displaying the abundance of each season. The wine, bar, and service team, pair and complement the cuisine at every turn. Reservations are released on the first of every month at 10:00 AM (PST) two months in advance.
